Our Company

Pearlwind is a green-energy project development company.  Our focus is in urban energy generation installations of solar arrays and wind turbines, as well as energy conservation measures with LED and Induction lighting retrofits.  Net energy usage is decreased, resulting in lowered operating costs.  We are proud of our achievements in saving businesses money while promoting environmental responsibility.  Our generation systems are clean and low-maintenance.  Pearlwind’s retrofits are guaranteed to reduce wattage and replacement frequency.  We are dedicated to our work and our customers.  Each space is unique and we excel at generating custom solutions to meet every client’s specific needs.

Our History (In Brief)

jkyouguysPearlwind was founded in 2009 when CEO Jon Kaplan installed one of the world’s first urban wind turbines at Pearl Road Auto Wrecking.  The project has lent Pearlwind its name and has been our cornerstone in the Cleveland area.  Since that first installation, we have diversified our range of green services to include both solar installations and lighting retrofits. Having accomplished over 600 projects of all sizes, Pearlwind continues to grow and innovate.  We believe in the future of renewable energy as a reliable path to big savings and lean operation, not just a way to reduce the global carbon footprint.

We take a creative green approach to solving energy consumption problems.  From financial models and projections to final inspection, we manage every detail of development so that your company doesn’t have to.  Above all, we believe in education.  Many companies are simply unaware of the benefits and we aim to show them that certain technologies have developed into strong investments in recent years.  We encourage any company interested in energy reduction to contact us for a consultation, an assessment or an analysis.  When the project isn’t a great fit we will tell you and when it is we will tell you about the best options moving forward.
